RSPA SETS INTERNATIONAL HAZARDOUS GOODS TRANSPORT MEETINGS
The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Research and Special Programs Administration will hold a public meeting on Oct. 3 in Washington to prepare for the International Civil Aviation Organization’s Dangerous Goods Panel in Montreal, Oct. 15-25.
The meeting will cover the air transport of packaging requirements for lithium batteries, cryogenic liquified gas receptacles, and UN-marked compressed gas cylinders. It also includes discussions on the harmonization with the 12th revised edition of the UN Model Regulations, dangerous goods carried by passengers and crew members, information requirements on the air waybill and notification to pilot in command, infectious substances requirements, and incident reporting.
