RYDER ACQUIRES OPERATIONS FROM SAMEDAY.COM
Ryder Systems Inc. has acquired the fulfillment operations of Sameday.com Inc., a Los Angeles-based provider of software for supply chain event management. Terms of the acquisition were not released.
The acquisition expands Ryder’s eCS distribution capabilities and customer base. ECS offers end-to-end supply chain solutions in the business-to-business and business-to-customer markets for customers in the telecommunications, electronic, high-tech, aerospace, apparel and jewelry industries.
Ryder eCS provides real-time inventory visibility and customer support that covers a variety of business needs, including providing technology and fulfillment for orders placed by businesses and consumers on the Web, after-market spare part logistics support and managing reverse logistics.
