RYDER NAMES BACKHOUSE VP AND MANAGING DIRECTOR FOR EUROPE
Ryder Systems Inc. has promoted Peter Backhouse to vice president and managing director for Europe, responsible for overseeing Ryder's sales, operations and support functions there.
Backhouse, who replaces Joe M.E. Hessels, was group director of European operations.
