Saddle Creek to open distribution center in Auburndale, Fla.

   Saddle Creek Corp., a third-party logistics services provider based in Lakeland, Fla., will open a 298,000-square-foot distribution center in Auburndale, Fla.

   The distribution center “has been secured primarily due to expanded contracts and services for two of Saddle Creek’s large beverage customers,” Saddle Creek said.

   “It is apparent that this customer demand is, in part, being driven by transportation capacity issues and the need to have product closer to the end market. Central Florida is the state’s prime distribution area,” said Bruce Abels, Saddle Creek’s president.
