Salvors assess capsized barge in Massachusetts Bay
The U.S. Coast Guard told Shippers' NewsWire that salvors are continuing to inspect and assess an unmanned 360-foot deck barge, the 'G.T. Ironmaster,' that capsized Friday in Massachusetts Bay south of Boston.
The barge, loaded with gravel, was under tow by the tug 'Navigator' from Boston to New Haven, Conn., when the incident occurred at 8:30 a.m. May 27. No pollution has been reported.
