Samskip opens office in Vietnam

Icelandic shipping-to-logistics company Samskip has opened its fourth office in Asia in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The new office is controlled by Samskip’s regional headquarters in Busan, Korea. Samskip’s two other Asian offices are located in Qingdao and Dalian in China. Samskip said the main responsibility for the Asian offices is transportation of frozen fish.

“There has been significant growth in fish processing in Vietnam,” said Einar Th'r Gudj'nsson, vice president of Samskip’s international reefer logistics operations, “and we see this growth continuing to increase. The country’s fish-processing center is located in the vicinity of Ho Chi Minh City, so opening an office there was a natural step in Samskip’s ongoing development of a transportation network in Asia.”

The address of the Vietnam office is: 17 Truong Son Street, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City, telephone +84 8 449 0178.
