SAS APPOINTS TELECOMMUNICATIONS INDUSTRY EXECUTIVE PRESIDENT AND CEO
Scandinavian Airlines System has appointed Jorgen Lindegaard, a senior executive from the Danish telecommunications industry, as its next president and chief executive officer.
Lindegaard, currently president and CEO of telecommunications group GN Store Nord A/S, will assume the position of president and CEO of the airline on June 1, 2001, replacing Jan Stenberg.
Lindegaard has held a number of executive positions and served as president of Fyns Telefon A/S, K'benhavns Telefon A/S and as an executive of Tele Danmark.
