SCHENKER AG ANNOUNCES MANAGEMENT CHANGES
Stinnes subsidiary Schenker has changed the composition of its management board.
Hans-J'rg Hager assumed responsibility for the European region and for Schenker's land transportation/logistics division, while remaining chairman of the board of Schenker Deutschland AG.
Thomas C. Lieb, formerly Schenker's regional manager for Europe/Africa/Near and Mideast, has assumed responsibility for the Asian, American, African and near East regions and for the sea and air freight/logistics division.
Dierk Paskert, formerly the head of Stinnes AG's corporate development department, is now responsible for the newly established marketing and sales department. Its primary functions are global key account management as well as the development and marketing of integrated logistics services. Schenker also plans to establish a separate E-Solutions department headed by a board member who will be responsible for information technology and electronic commerce.
G'nter M'ller left the Schenker board of management as of Jan. 31. A veteran of Schenker for nearly five decades, M'ller had been in charge of the Schenker Group's global air and sea freight activities since 1991.
Dr. Thomas Held continues to be a board member in charge of controlling, finance, accounting, purchasing and risk management. H'kan Larsson continues as chairman of Schenker AG.
