SCHENKER COMMITS TO GF-X
Stinnes’ subsidiary Schenker AG said it has committed to participate in Global Freight Exchange, the neutral trading platform for air-freight carriers and forwarders. With its participation in the platform, it will be able to see updated details of carrier schedules and capacity.
Air France Cargo, Lufthansa Cargo and British Airways World Cargo have also recently stated their commitment to use GF-X as their preferred electronic channel.
“We believe that GF-X represents an opportunity for Schenker to improve and standardize our business processes worldwide,” said Thomas Mack, vice president of Airfreight, Schenker AG.
