SCHENKER OPENS BRANCH IN SICILY, LOGISTICS CENTER IN BAVARIA
The Italian subsidiary of Schenker, the German forwarding and logistics company, has opened a branch office in Catania, Sicily, and a logistics terminal in Schweinfurt, southern Germany.
Schenker said that the new Italian branch will offer logistics services for customers in the semiconductor industry, as well as general air and seafreight services.
The logistics center in Bavaria occupies 27,000 square meters. The new facility will initially handle more than 1,000 tons of goods every day, equivalent to over 3,000 individual orders with more than 7,000 packages.
