SCHNEIDER LOGISTICS, HELLMANN WORLDWIDE CREATE ALLIANCE
Schneider Logistics and Hellmann Worldwide Logistics USA have formed a strategic alliance which is expected to expand the service offerings of both firms.
Through the partnership, Schneider Logistics, based in Green Bay, Wis., will expand its technology platform to include global supply chain management and add to its expanding list of international shipper clients. Miami-based Hellmann will increase its volume and ability to provide multimodal North American transportation.
“The alliance gives customers of each organization access to integrated global supply chain management, analysis, re-engineering, freight payment and full execution via a joint service offering,” the companies said. “Customers will now leverage the expertise and positioning of personal from both companies, as well as each company’s strategic partners and vendors.”
“Our partnership and close collaboration will provide customers with bona fide floor to floor management of inventory — both at rest and in motion — at a reduced cost,” said Bob Laird, senior vice president of marketing and sales for Hellmann in the United States.
