SCHOUPPE TO STEP DOWN FROM ABX LOGISTICS
Etienne Schouppe, chief executive officer for ABX Logistics, will leave the Brussels-based firm on Feb. 28.
Schouppe was asked to step down by the Belgian National Railway, which owns ABX, as part of a corporate restructuring of its logistics operations.
The Belgian National Railway created ABX in 1992 as a small-package division of the railroad. In 1998, the railroad decided to increase its stake in the third-party freight logistics business mostly through acquisitions.
