Sea Consortium, Hanjin to start Singapore/Bangladesh feeder
Singapore-based Sea Consortium and Korea’s Hanjin Shipping will start Friday a joint feeder service between Singapore and Bangladesh.
The Chittagong Singapore Service (CSS) will have a sailing frequency of every four days calling at Singapore, Port Kelang, Chittagong, and back to Singapore.
Sea Consortium will provide four ships ranging from 360 to 660 TEUs while Hanjin will contribute one 660-TEU vessel.
“Hanjin Shipping expects the CSS to help save logistics costs and facilitate transshipment, and improve its business competency in the emerging market of Bangladesh in the region,” the Seoul-based carrier said.
