Seaboard starts third Miami/Dominican Rep. service
Seaboard Marine is starting a third weekly service to the Dominican Republic from Miami at the end of the month.
Seaboard said the new Monday southbound service will primarily accommodate roll-on/roll-off cargo with limited space available to containers. The existing Wednesday and Friday southbound sailings will strictly carry containerized cargo, while all northbound vessels will accept all cargo types.
The 482-TEU ro/ro vessel “Seaboard Trader” will make the maiden voyage of the service March 28. The service will depart from Miami every Monday, arriving in Rio Haina each Thursday, Puerto Plata each Friday before returning to Miami.
