SeaFreight returns to Isla Margarita
Miami-based SeaFreight Line has resumed direct calls at Isla Margarita, Venezuela on its weekly U.S./Caribbean/North Coast South America “South Florida” service.
SeaFreight had transshipped cargo destined for Isla Margarita via La Guaira. SeaFreight said it resumed the direct calls due to deterioration in the feeder service.
The “South Florida” service uses three 1,100-TEU ships and has a revised port rotation of Jacksonville, Fla.; Port Everglades, Fla.; Kingston; Aruba; Curacao; La Guaira; Isla Margarita; Point Lisas, Trinidad; Paramaribo; Georgetown, Guyana; Kingston; and back to Jacksonville.
