Sears Logistics Services signs distribution pact with Exel
Sears Logistics Services, a subsidiary of U.S. retailer Sears Roebuck and Co., has contracted with Exel, a U.K.-based provider of logistics services, to handle repairable items in the U.S.
The three-year, $4-million contract calls for Exel to provide on-time distribution services for a network of nine Sears locations across the country.
Exel will pick up repairable items from product service centers, retail outlets, dealer and hardware stores, deliver them to central repair centers, and then return the repaired products to their original stores.
