SHIPCO ANNOUNCES MANAGEMENT APPOINTMENTS
Shipco Transport, a Hoboken, N.J.-based non-vessel-operating common carrier, has announced four senior-level management appointments.
Morten Bach, formerly general manager of the Pacific region for Shipco, has been promoted to vice president of LCL (less-than-containerload) operations and general manager for the Pacific southwest. He will also oversee Shipco’s LCL export operations in the United States.
Peter Herling, formerly general manager for business development, was promoted to vice president of import development for Shipco.
Dmitriy Loffe, formerly general manager of sales in the Midwest, was promoted to vice president of sales. He will relocate to Hoboken in the coming months, the company said.
Steen Dyrholm, formerly general manager of corporate administration, has been appointed vice president of corporate administration for Shipco.
Bach, Herling, Ioffe, and Dyrholm will report to Klaus Jepsen, president; Hans Mikkelsen, executive vice president; and Kim Ekstroem, vice president of Shipco.
“In today’s market, we felt the need to have a support team of decision makers, responsible for specific aspects of our business, specifically within North America,” Jepsen said.
“(The four vice presidents) have all been given a specific remit for their particular area of responsibility and, based on that, we believe that these appointments will make Shipco a stronger, more able team, ready to take on the challenges of 2003 and beyond,” Jepsen added.
