Shipco TransportÆs Shanghai office gets ôClass Aö forwarding license
New Jersey-based non-vessel-operating common carrier Shipco Transport has upgraded its Shanghai liaison office after it received a 'Class A' freight forwarding license from the Chinese government in December.
In China, foreign-based freight forwarders with a Class A license can operate within China without subcontracting to another company.
'China is a very important market for us and this development is a major step forward for Shipco to secure our future in this market and to provide our clients with better and more extensive services to and from this region,' said Klaus Jepsen, Shipco’s president.
Shipco offers direct Freight All Kinds (FAK) services to Shanghai from Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta and New York. In terms of U.S. imports, the company provides three direct services per week from Shanghai to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, Houston, Atlanta and New York.
