Simatech expands to Southeast Asia
Dubai-based feeder operator Simatech Shipping has expanded to the Far East by starting a weekly Southeast
Asia to Indian subcontinent and Middle East service. The new “Gulf India Straits” service represents the first time the carrier has offered services outside of its traditional Middle East/Indian Subcontinent route.
The “GIS” service started on Oct. 7 when the vessel “Kuo Chang” departed from Singapore. The service uses four ships of around 1,100 TEUs and calls at Singapore, Port Kelang, Nhava Sheva, Jebel Ali, Port Rashid, Bandar Abbas, Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Singapore and back to Port Kelang.
