SIXTEEN COMPANIES APPLY FOR OTI LICENSES
Ten companies desiring to operate as non-vessel operating common carriers, four firms desiring to operate as NVOs and freight forwarders and two companies desiring to operate as ocean freight forwarders have applied to the Federal Maritime Commission for ocean transportation intermediary licenses.
The 10 NVO applicants are: Neutral Line — Miami; Pudong Trans USA — El Monte, Calif.; Ocean Carriers Inc. — Miami; C.F.L. International — Livermore, Calif.; Fastmark Corp. — Miami; RCM International Shipping USA — Kenner, La.; Unicom Trans — Gardena, Calif.; DLS Logistic Service — Los Angeles; Beacon Logistics — Carson, Calif.; and Drake Logistics — Atlanta.
The four combination NVO/freight forwarder applicants are: Just In Time Services — Miami; Mega-Trans Inc. — Rahway, N.J.; Efren Jimenez (Sole Proprietor) — Trenton, N.J.; and Hoosier Forwarding — South Bend, Ind.
The two freight forwarder applicants are Suburban Moving & Storage — Weehawken, N.J. and A.S.L. Logistics Corp. — Miami.
