Stallman re-elected president of American Farm Bureau

   The American Farm Bureau Federation re-elected Bob Stallman on Jan. 14 to a third two-year term as president.

   Stallman, a Texas rice and cattle farmer, became a member of the bureau’s board of directors in 1994, after serving as president of the Texas Farm Bureau. Prior to becoming president, he headed several bureau committees, such as the Audit Committee and the 1998 Farm Economy Committee. He also sat on the International Trade Advisory Committee.

   Steve Appel, a Washington state wheat and barley grower, was re-elected to a second two-year term as vice president of the American Farm Bureau.
