STATE CUTS OFF BUSINESS WITH 2 COMPANIES IN NORTH KOREA, CHINA
The U.S. State Department said it has cut off business relations with Changgwang Sinyong Corp. of North Korea and Jiangsu Yongli Chemicals and Technology Import and Export of Corp. of China because of their violation of the Iran Nonproliferation Act of 2000.
Under the Act’s provisions, the State Department said no department or agency shall enter into contracts or provide individual export licenses to ship goods or technology to these firms.
“These measures shall be implemented by the responsible departments and agencies of the United States government and will remain in place for two years, except to the extent that the Secretary of State may subsequently determine otherwise,” the State Department said.
