STEVENS TRANSPORT PICKS LOGISTICS.COM FOR ROUTING
Stevens Transport, based in Dallas, a provider of refrigerated truckload transport, has selected Logistics.com, based in Burlington, Mass., a provider of online transportation services, to contain fuel and routing costs.
Stevens will use Logistics.com’s OptiYield Fuel&Route solution to generate optimal routes and fueling stop recommendations. “Very conservatively, we estimate savings of 5 cents a mile or $550 annually per tractor,” said Matt Welding, director of quality assurance for Stevens. “With approximately 1,400 company tractors, this translates into annual savings of $800,000.”
