STINNES MOVES HEADQUARTERS TO BERLIN

Stinnes, the German logistics group now owned by Deutsche Bahn, will move its headquarters from M'lheim an der Ruhr to Berlin, when new parent company is already based.

However, Stinnes said that its subsidiary Schenker, the global freight forwarder, would continue to have its headquarters in Essen. Meanwhile, the headquarters of DB Cargo, the rail freight unit of Deutsche Bahn, will also remain in Mainz.

“Schenker AG, DB Cargo AG and the Railion companies, as well as the other sales units, will be managed centrally under the umbrella of Stinnes, as the future lead company for all of Deutsche Bahn’s transport and logistics services,” a spokesman for Stinnes said.
