Strand to chair environmental committee
Washington-based transportation attorney Margaret Strand has been named chairperson of the Committee on Environmental Law for the National Academy of Science’s Transportation Research Board.
Strand, a partner with the law firm Venable LLP’s transportation and infrastructure practice and Venable’s Environmental Group, will serve a three-year term.
The Committee on Environmental Law coordinates ongoing research on transportation and environmental issues studied by the NAS.
Strand has been on the NAS Environmental Law Committee since 2002.
