Strike shuts down Israel trade
International shipment of goods to and from Israel have halted due to a strike by government workers that has sidelined customs and other personnel at air and seaports since Monday, according to a news bulletin from Expeditors International and Agence France Presse.
The French news agency reports that about 40 cargo vessels are anchored outside the ports of Ashdod, Haifa and Eilat to the work stoppage.
