SWISSAIR RESUMES FLIGHT OPERATIONS
Swissair resumed flight operations Thursday, and said it would operate 50 percent of its normal flight program today. The company halted operations Tuesday due to financing issues.
On Thursday SAirGroup asked Swiss district courts to place the holding company, SAirLines, Swissair AG and Flightlease under “Nachlassstundung,” a form of moratorium on debt enforcement under Swiss law. The moratorium suspends all payment demands and interest, suspends limitation periods and protects companies from debt enforcement by creditors.
