TACA raises bunker rates
The Trans-Atlantic Conference Agreement (TACA) of ocean carriers, citing 'a record high ' price of fuel,' has raised its bunker rates 'from Oct. 16 through, at least, Nov. 15,' TACA said in a statement.
During that period, rates for traffic to, from, and via U.S. Atlantic and Gulf Coast ports will be $423 per 20-foot container and $846 per 40-foot or 45-foot container. The weight-measure adjustment will be $42.
Rates for traffic to, from and via U.S. Pacific Coast ports will be $635 per 20-foot container and $1,270 per 40-foot or 45-foot container. The weight-measure adjustment will be $64.
TACA members are Atlantic Container Line, Hapag-Lloyd Container Linie, Mediterranean Shipping Co., A.P. Moller-Maersk Sealand, Nippon Yusen Kaisha, Orient Overseas Container Line and P&O Nedlloyd.
