TACA to raise fuel surcharges
Carriers of the Trans-Atlantic Conference Agreement said Monday they will raise their bunker rates from June 16 through July 15.
Effective June 16, TACA’s bunker rates for traffic to, from and via U.S. Atlantic and Gulf coasts ports will be $467 (from $423) per 20-foot container and $933 (from $846) per 40-foot or 45-foot container. The weight-measure adjustment in that trade will go up to $47 from $42.
Rates for traffic to, from and via U.S. Pacific Coast ports will be $700 (from $635) per 20-foot container and $1,400 (from $1,270) per 40-foot or 45-foot container. The weight-measure adjustment will be $70 instead of $64 before.
TACA’s currency adjustment factor will remain unchanged at 6 percent, at least through July 15.
TACA members are Atlantic Container Line, Mediterranean Shipping Co., Maersk Line, NYK, and OOCL.
