Tacoma names Jenkins environmental director
The Port of Tacoma said Tuesday it has selected Pam Jenkins as director of environmental programs.
Jenkins will lead a nine-person environmental staff responsible for the port’s environmental stewardship programs, including construction and monitoring of habitat restoration and improvement projects, cleanup of historic contamination and ensuring that port operations comply with environmental laws and regulations.
Before joining the port, Jenkins was director of environmental services for the Washington State Department of Corrections.
Jenkins’ earlier experience includes work with Olympia, Wash.-based Science Applications International Corp. and the Washington State Department of Ecology.
