TAM orders four 777-300ERs from Boeing
Brazil’s TAM Airlines has become the first South American carrier to order 777-300ER aircraft, after ordering four of them from Boeing. No financial details were disclosed.
Boeing will deliver the aircraft to TAM by the middle of 2008.
TAM was also the first Latin American airline to place orders with Airbus for the A350-900 plane series, when in December 2005 it signed a firm contract for 10 and options for five more. TAM will receive the A350s at the end of 2012.
