TELKOM OF INDONESIA PICKS DESCARTES
The Descartes Systems Group Inc., based in Waterloo, Ontario, a provider of electronic commerce logistics solutions, said Monday it had been chosen by P.T. Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk (TELKOM), to build a logistics infrastructure in Indonesia.
TELKOM, through its business-to-business unit, will use Descartes technology to connect suppliers, carriers and customers to a single integrated online network.
“The need for such an infrastructure in Indonesia is abundantly clear, considering the country’s thousand-island geography,” said Craig Jones, president of Descartes Asia-Pacific.
