TESCO PICKS G-LOG FOR U.K. INBOUND LOGISTICS
G-Log, a provider of logistics and transportation software, said Tuesday that Tesco Stores Ltd., a major retailer in the United Kingdom, has chosen G-Log’s Web-based technology platform for Tesco’s logistics planning and monitoring processes.
Tesco, which has 930 stores worldwide, will use G-Log’s software to manage more than one million inbound shipments a year. Tesco stores inventory covers more than 20,000 product lines, including food, drink, household items, garden products, clothes, toiletries, and vehicular fuel.
The retailer’s deployment of G-Log’s solution will initially be in the United Kingdom, with a subsequent rollout to Europe and beyond. G-Log is based in Shelton, Conn.
