Third generation Tung joins board of family-controlled OO(I)L
Alan Lieh Sing Tung, a grandson of the founder of the OOCL group, C.Y. Tung, has joined the board of directors of Orient Overseas (International) Ltd. as an executive director, effective May 1.
Orient Overseas (International) Ltd., the parent company of OOCL, is chaired by C.C. Tung, uncle of Alan Lieh Sing Tung and brother of C.H. Tung, the former chief executive of the Hong Kong special administrative region who previously ran Orient Overseas (International) Ltd.
Alan Lieh Sing Tung, 37, is the managing director of Orient Overseas Developments Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of OO(I)L that operates as the holding company for the group’s property investments. He has been with the Hong Kong-based group for 13 years.
While at OO(I)L, Alan Lieh Sing Tung has been involved in the property, finance and operating activities of the group, a spokesman said.
