TITAN MARINE JOINS MARINE EMERGENCY RESPONSE GROUP

   Titan Marine LLC has joined the Marine Pollution Control Corp. and Crowley Marine Services in the Marine Response Alliance to provide emergency response services, rescue towing, fendering, salvage and fire fighting services in U.S. port zones.

   The Marine Response Alliance said anticipated changes in federal and state regulations toward marine emergencies has prompted it to increase its membership to include Titan.

   “We believe we offer the most complete package of services available — Crowley for rescue towing and barge services, MPC for lightering, fendering and cargo transfers, and Titan for marine salvage and wreck removal services,” said Todd Busch, a director on the Seattle-based Marine Response Alliance.

   Since 1994, the alliance has provided emergency services through a “one call” approach for both drills and actual emergency responses. Operating now as a limited liability company joint venture, the alliance relies on the member companies’ equipment and personnel and their network of subcontractors to respond to incidents in hours.
