TNT OPENS U.S. HUB AT JFK
TNT, the express delivery and logistics subsidiary of Dutch conglomerate TNT Post Group, has opened a new hub facility at JFK International Airport in New York to handle all import and export shipment processing for the United States.
The 25,000-square-foot facility is 20 percent larger than TNT’s previous location and will house 135 TNT employees. It will be linked to TNT’s global network via a daily B757 freighter flight to TNT’s main hub in Liege, Belgium.
“This hub is the result of a two-year-long improvement plan to expedite TNT’s inbound and outbound material processing in order to provide faster transit times for our customers,” said Mark Gunton, president of TNT International Express, North America.
