TNT to add 100 pilots in 2006
TNT Airways said it will hire 80 more pilots this year to fly new aircraft scheduled to enter service in the next year. The in-house airline for TNT Express added 20 pilots in January.
TNT is expected to take possession of two BAe 146s, two Boeing 747-400 and five Boeing 737s by May 2007. The new aircraft will be used to open new routes and expand service for the delivery network in Europe.
TNT’s current fleet consists of 11 BAe 146s, six 737s and four Airbus A300 aircraft.
