TOSHIBA PICKS VASTERA TO SPEED PRODUCT SHIPMENTS
Toshiba America Business Solutions (TABS), a provider of office electronic products, has selected Vastera Inc., a provider of logistics solutions, to expedite global imports and exports.
Toshiba will use Vastera’s Tradesphere solution “to have more visibility and control over our products that are being shipped into and out of the U.S.,” said Dan Langham, senior vice president and chief information officer at TABS.
Vastera’s software will perform functions such as generating shipping documents, screening for regulatory compliance and managing export licenses. TABS expects to have fewer Customs delays at border points, and lower operational costs.
TABS is based in Irvine, Calif. Vastera is based in Dulles, Va.
