Transplace sells compliance services
Transplace Inc., a provider of logistics technology and transportation management services, said it has acquired the assets of Transplace Compliance Services by Compliance Safety Systems LLC.
'Since joining forces with Transplace in 2001, we have worked to develop a system that manages every state and federal compliance requirement for the trucking industry,' said David Saunders, president and chief executive officer of Compliance Safety Systems.
'Many customers will not even realize that a change has taken place,' Saunders added. 'The acquisition will not have an impact on the features that Transplace Compliance Services offered its customers,' Transplace said in a statement.
'The only change ' is a new Web site design. All contracts, pricing, contact information and telephone numbers remain unchanged,' said Plano, Texas-based Transplace. The information system for the acquired assets will continue to be hosted in Transplace's data center.
