TSA ACQUIRES SPACE IN ARLINGTON, VA.
The U.S. Transportation Security Agency has signed a 10-year lease for up to 150,000 square feet of office space in Arlington, Va.
“Since last January, the TSA has been scattered in burrowed and short-term rental space at six locations in the Washington, D.C. area,” said Adm. James M. Loy, undersecretary of transportation for security. “While we have made that situation work, concentrating several of our key offices in this building will improve operations, allowing us to deliver more to taxpayers.”
TSA, which is currently part of the Transportation Department, will be moved into the newly formed Homeland Security Department in March.
