Turnbull quits Swire group
David Turnbull, chairman of John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Ltd., Swire Pacific Ltd. and Cathay Pacific Airways, will leave the Swire group at the end of January.
Turnbull was Cathay Pacific’s managing director for eight years. The Swire group said Turnbull decided to resign “to resume a more active operational role.”
Christopher Pratt, a 27-year Swire group veteran, will take over from Turnbull in February. Pratt is head Swire Pacific’s trading and industrial division, and chairman of Swire Pacific Offshore Ltd.
