U-Freight opens Southern California facility

   U-Freight, an international freight forwarding and logistics services group, said Wednesday it has expanded its presence in California with the opening of a new 80,000-square-foot logistics facility in the City of Industry near Los Angeles.

   The new logistics hub gives U-Freight two facilities in the Los Angeles area, and will also house Comax Global Logistics, an ocean freight forwarding specialist in which U-Freight bought a majority stake last year.

   The move follows the opening late last year of a new office for Comax Global Logistics within U-Freight America’s headquarters in San Francisco to handle all ocean freight imports and exports moving through the Bay Area.
