U.K. FORWARDER KAMINO JOINS CAPSTAN NETWORK
Kamino, Inc. a U.K.-based freight forwarder, has joined the network of Capstan Systems, Inc., a San Francisco-based logistics system provider.
Kamino will join the “Capstan Connected” program and become a principal provider of global freight forwarding, transportation and logistics services on the Capstan network. The agreement will enable Capstan customers to link to Kamino to initiate air and sea freight forwarding, logistics and warehousing services. Kamino’s customers will be able to use the Capstan network as a single application platform for global supply chain collaboration and execution.
The network connects suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, carriers, freight forwarders and logistics service providers in a collaborative global trading network. It delivers “integrated, end-to-end visibility and tools for supply chain execution across the global trade transaction lifecycle,” a spokesman for Capstan said.
Kamino, with headquarters in the United Kingdom and offices worldwide, joins other logistics and international freight forwarding service providers on the network, including MSAS Global Logistics (now part of Exel), Circle International (now part of EGL Eagle Global Logistics, Fritz Co. and Kintetsu World Express.
