U.S./Australasia discussion agreement ceases fumigation
Member carriers of the United States Australasia Discussion Agreement (USADA) said they will no longer arrange for the fumigation of containers exported from the United States to Australia and New Zealand.
The decision will be effective April 15.
Carriers in the discussion agreement are Australia New Zealand Direct Line, CMA-CGM, FESCO, Hamburg Sud, Lykes Lines, Maersk Sealand, Marfret, P&O Nedlloyd and Wallenius Wilhelmsen Line.
