U.S., Canadian customs leaders compare notes
U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Robert C. Bonner and Canada Border Services Agency President Alain Jolicoeur met in Toronto Wednesday for a quarterly meeting to review and update collaborative security measures along the shared border.
The World Customs Organization’s framework for global security standards, the expedited truck clearance program Free and Secure Trade and an initiative to reduce wait times in the busy Detroit-Windsor corridor were among the topics discussed, according to a statement from CBP.
