U.S.-Chile free trade agreement takes effect
President Bush signed an authorization Dec. 30 for the U.S.-Chile free trade agreement to take effect.
The agreement was signed between the two countries on June 6, 2003.
U.S. Commerce Department will create an office to carry out the specifics of the agreement, the Bush administration said.
