U.S. CONTINUES TRADE TALKS WITH DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
The United States concluded a second round of bilateral trade negotiations with the Dominican Republic on March 7.
“Our discussions covered a range of multilateral, regional and bilateral issues that are currently the focus of our trade relationship,” said the U.S. Trade Representative. “The United States has taken note of the positive direction that President Mejia is actively working to take Dominican trade policy.”
The United States told the Dominican Republic it’s willing to consider adding the island nation to the proposed U.S.-Central America Free Trade Agreement.
