U.S. Customs reschedules COAC meeting
The Department of Homeland Security’s Advisory Committee on Commercial Operations that assists the Bureau of Customs and Border Protection will meet Nov. 18, according to Keith Thomson, new head of Custom’s Office of Trade Relations.
The meeting was originally scheduled for Sept. 19, but was canceled when the federal government shut down due to Hurricane Isabel.
The meeting, which brings representatives from major shipping and transportation companies to Washington, will take place one day before a dinner to kick off the fourth annual Customs’ Trade Symposium Nov. 20-21.
