U.S. FMC ECONOMIST BLAIR JOINS WORLD SHIPPING COUNCIL

Bob Blair, who has served as a U.S. Federal Maritime Commission economist since 1985, has joined the Washington, D.C.-based World Shipping Council as director of economics and policy analysis.

Before joining the FMC, Blair worked as a country desk office with the Peace Corps in Washington, after serving as a volunteer in Thailand.

WSC president Chris Koch said, “As the council analyzes how government policies affect the maritime industry and how the industry contributes to the American economy, Bob Blair’s experience in economics and industry regulation will be a valuable asset.”
