U.S. FOREIGN WATERBORNE LINER VOLUMES RISE IN FIRST HALF
U.S. foreign waternborne liner transportation volumes rose 1.6 percent in the first half of 2001 to 75.0 million metric tons, according to U.S. Maritime Administration and Army Corps of Engineers statistics.
Imported liner volumes rose 6 percent to 41.8 million metric tons, while exports were off 3 percent to 33.3 million tons.
